Louis Joseph Vacek Jr.

Louis Joseph Vacek Jr., age 82, of Joppa, MD, passed away on July 7, 2013 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Louis Joseph Vacek Sr. and Evelyn Meyers Vacek and husband for 63 years of the late Anna M. Elste Vacek. He was a machinist for Anchor Fence for 50 years and was known, for over 60 years, for their produce farm Vacek's Farm. He was also recognized for several community affairs.

Mr. Vacek is survived by his daughters, LuAnn Young of Joppa and Kathy Lynn Patrick and husband, Donald G., of Cherryville, NC; grandson, Corey J. Young of Joppa; sister, Elaine Parks of Baltimore; brother, Gregory Vacek of Bel Air; and many friends and relatives. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Charlotte Neuwiller.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Parlett, Gregory Vacek, Dale Young, Kenny Day, Gregory Elste and Jay Miller.
