On Saturday, June 26, 2004 our Father Who Art in Heaven called Louis H. Branch, Jr. home. He died at Lorien Riveside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Louis was born on March 17, 1944 in Havre de Grace, MD. He was the devoted son Elizabeth E. Bradley and the late Louis H. Branch, Sr. He was 60.
Louis was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Fallston, MD were he dedicated his life to Christ. As a youth, he was a member of the choir and served as treasurer for the United Methodist Youth. He attended Central Consolidated School in Hickory and Douglas High School in Baltimore.
Louis was employed by General Motors for 10 years and operated a Diamond Cab for 30 years in Baltimore, and worked at Schumacher and Seiler, Inc. for a short time on Monument Street.
Louis will always be remembered for his humor, his ability to give directions to any place in Baltimore City (including alleys!), his love of driving (fast!), his love of singing and hearing song, and his love of praising the Lord!
Louis leaves to treasure his memory four children: Bridgett Jackson of Pottstown, PA, Andrea Branch of Baltimore, Louis Henry Branch, III of Pottstown, PA and Quentin Branch of Pottstown, PA; ten grandchildren, Chimere Bobbitt of Pottstown, PA, Larry Wingo of Pottstown, PA, Unice Wingo of Pottstown, PA, Shakeyia Branch of Baltimore, Jasmine Branch of Baltimore, Shantrea Branch of Pottstown, PA, Autumn Andrews of Pottstown, PA, Shanice Brown of Pottstown, PA, Quentin Branch of Pottstown, PA, and Malik Brown Branch of Pottstown, PA; two great grandchildren, Latavia Branch of Pottstown, PA and Fendi Branch of Pottstown, PA. Louis also leaves his devoted and loving mother who faithfully cared for him until his passing, Elizabeth E. Bradley and his step-father, who also cared for Louis with great love and compassion, Raymond H. Bradley of Fallston, MD. Louis also leaves four brothers and one sister, Michael L. Branch of Santa Monica, California, Bruce W. Edwards and his wife, Doris of Edgewood, Arthur F. Edwards and his wife, Donna of Felton, Pennsylvania, and Bradford J. Edwards and his wife, Carolyn, of Aberdeen and Deborah Y. (Edwards) Fisher and her husband, Paul Fisher, Sr. of Perryman; and his former wife, Roxanne Branch of Baltimore. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a nephew, Joshua Paul Fisher.
