Lou Benesch, 63, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on March 17, 2025.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Lou was the son of Lois (Benesch) Sautter. He was the loving husband of 43 years to Allison (Chaney) Benesch, with whom he shared a life full of love and memories.
Lou worked at Klein's Shop Rite in Bel Air for over 15 years, where he was well-known and respected by both colleagues and customers. Outside of work, Lou had a wide variety of interests. He was passionate about playing golf, woodworking, and tackling home improvement projects around his home. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening, always taking pride in the fruits of his labor.
In his younger days, Lou loved bowling, playing drums, and had a deep appreciation for music—his favorite band being AC/DC. He was also an avid fan of Shania Twain and Susanna Hoffs. He found joy in watching Home Improvement and had a particular fondness for hot rod cars. Lou was also a skilled mechanic in his youth, showcasing his hands-on talents and love for all things automotive.
Lou leaves behind his beloved wife, Allison, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his mother and wife, Lou is survived by his daughter, Angela M. Benesch (Goki Abe); brothers, Bryan (Susan) Sautter, and Eric Sautter; sister, Kim Sautter-Ramos; nieces, Sophie Ramos, Kasi Chaney, and Rachel Chaney, Caitlin Chaney and nephew Philip Andrew Chaney.
