Lottie Rae Gilley

LOTTIE RAE GILLEY, age 81, of Aberdeen, MD, died on September 29, 2007 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in West Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Albert Byard and Elizabeth Enice Burkett Houck and wife of the late Vaughn Gilley. She had worked at Bata Shoe Company where she was an inspector. A longtime member of Upper Room Gospel Tabernacle, she enjoyed Bible reading and cooked for all church events. She is remembered by her family for being the best mother. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed Christmas holiday, and loved gardening and cooking.

Mrs. Gilley is survived by three children, Marion Suzanne Miller of Elkton, MD; Jeanne Baker of Havre de Grace, MD; and Michael Shayne Taylor of Joppa, MD; one sister, Reba Greene of King George, VA; ten grandchildren, Tamblyn D. Cullum of North East, MD, Earl Cullum of California, Leah Visser of North East, MD, Shawna Kauffman and Brent Kauffman, both of Joppa, MD, Jennifer Graybeal of Havre de Grace, MD, Jayme Haase and James Baker, both of Havre de Grace, MD, Michael Taylor II of Joppa, MD, and Nicholas Taylor of Port Deposit, MD; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Kauffman and ten siblings.

Pallbearers will be L.J. Baker, Brent Kauffman, Chad Cullum, Michael Taylor, Nick Taylor, Jeff Graybeal.
