Lorraine "Lorrie" Lepito, 73, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (Bradley) Mecca. She shared a loving marriage of 50 years with her husband, Robert John Lepito, until their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2024.
Lorrie was a dedicated member of the Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints - Local Ward Winter's Run since 1980. She earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development from the University of Connecticut and dedicated her career to educating young minds. She worked as a Pre-School Teacher at Kiddie Academy in Forest Hill until her retirement in 2005 and previously at the YMCA preschool in Abingdon.
Lorrie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in drawing and painting cards, observing the beauty of birds, spending time with her cats, and most importantly, cherishing time with her beloved grandchildren.
Lorrie is survived by her loving husband, Robert; daughter, Wendy (Shawn) Lee; sons, Matthew (Susan) Lepito, Jonathan Lepito, and Joseph (Jessica) Lepito; grandchildren, Angelina, Mya, Gianna Lee, Kaitlyn, Victoria, Vivian, Emerson, and Eva Lepito.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
Lorrie's kind heart, dedication to education, and love for her friends and family will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
