Lorna Maria Schloer

LORNA MARIA BLIGH SCHLOER, age 75, of Aberdeen, MD, died on April 27, 2008 at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Mallard and Ellanora Frederika Stein Bligh. The wife for 53 years, of the late Robert Joseph Schloer. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, volunteered at Church Creek Elementary School, also a member of the Auxiliary at Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, bowling, swimming, traveling, and taking care of people. She also enjoyed crabbing, fishing and loved spending time at her grandparent's establishment, Stein's Hotel in Middleborough, MD, where she met her soul mate, Rob, and many life long friends. She devoted her life to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Schloer is survived by three daughters, Karen D. Hinckle and husband, Gary, of Aberdeen, MD; Denise R. Kropp and husband, Mark, of Aberdeen, MD; and Roberta L. Hornbarger and John Slater of Aberdeen, MD; and two grandchildren, Lauren N. Kropp and Emily M. Kropp of Aberdeen, MD. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her grandparents, Marie Stein Banknell, Frederick Stein and Nita Bligh Moore.
