Lois G. Lyons

Lois G. Lyons, age 87, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on August 23, 2014 at Bel Air Assisted Living in Bel Air. Born in Matoaka, WV, she was the daughter of the late Minor Wade and Beliesa Irene Bourne Vaught and wife of the late George Wesley Lyons. She and her husband opened their home to many foster children and family. She was always giving to others and a caregiver to many elderly people, as well as, a babysitter to the children. She loved the Bel Air Auction and going antiquing and to yard sales.

Mrs. Lyons is survived by her stepson, Roger Lyons of Sykesville; her girls, Barbara Monks of Parkville and Debra Bare and husband, Larry, of Fallston; brothers, Dan Vaught of Atkins, VA, David Vaught of Hillsville, VA, Lester Vaught of Galax, VA and Ted Vaught of Independence, VA; sisters, Peggy Vaught Eckel of Wytheville, VA and Ann Vaught Carter of Bel Air; grandchildren, Brenda Jolly and husband, Michael "Mick", Tonya Freund, Cody Bare, Richard Lyons, Lisa Lyons, David Lyons, Michael Lyons and Steven Lyons; great-grandchild, Garrett Jolly; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Lyons, Steven Lyons, Richard Lyons, David Lyons, Ricky Bare and Jason Freund.
