Lois F. Shabe

Lois F. Shabe, age 91, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on December 17, 2022 in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Louis and Julia Forand and wife of 58 years to the late Gerard Shabe, Sr. Lois retired from Fairfax Co. Public Schools after working there as an executive secretary for many years. Lois was in her element when she was with family and friends, hosting social events that would bring everyone together for good food and energetic conversation. Lois's life was grounded in her faith, especially in how she treated others. She was active in her church, St. Mark's in Fallston, MD, where she served on the church council for many years. She loved to read, to travel, and was constantly learning.

Lois is survived by her two sons, Peter (Maria) Shabe and Christopher Shabe; daughter, Suzanne Shabe; three grandchildren, Timothy (Skyler) Forrester, Lorenza Shabe, and Andrew Forrester; and great-granddaughter, Remi Forrester.
