Lois Ann Dooley

Lois Ann Dooley, age 76, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away on March 14, 2021 at her home. Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Yeich) Moyer and wife of 55 years to Anthony H. Dooley. She was a 1962 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and a 1966 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bloomsburg State Teachers College. She retired from Blue Mountain School District in 1998 where she worked as an elementary school teacher for 30 years. Lois was a member of Webster Congregational Christian Church of the United Church of Christ in Havre de Grace and served as treasurer for SCCW (Society of Congregational Christian Women). She was a former member St. Mark's United Church of Christ in Cressona, PA. She taught Sunday School and was president of the consistory, she was also a "candy elf" for Christmas and Easter. Lois was an avid seamstress and was a member of the Schuylkill County Quilters. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook and enjoyed to cross-stitch. Lois was always extremely active in the churches that she was a member of.

In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by her son, Andrew (Lauren) Dooley of Havre de Grace; grandchild, Anara Dooley; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Moyer.
