Liselotte "Lilo" M. Jarusek, age 81, of Abingdon, MD, died on January 22, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Hanau, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Erich and Elisabeth Fink Ritter, and wife of the late Elmer "Andy" C. Jarusek. A member of the Abingdon Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, she was a past member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and an active member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was one of the first members of the Harford County PTA and one of the first female IBM programmers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mrs. Jarusek is survived by her son, Philip A. Jarusek of Frenchtown, MD; daughter, Christina Jarusek-Newman and husband, Edward, of Edgewood, MD; grandchildren, Angelique M. Newman-Jarusek of Baltimore, MD and Andrea N. Newman of Edgewood, MD; great-grandson, De'Von A.C. Jarusek of Edgewood, MD; and cousin, Ingrid Roeding of New Philadelphia, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Albert Ritter.
Pallbearers will be Philip Jarusek, Angelique Newman-Jarusek, Edward Newman, Carl Jarusek, Bobby Jarusek, and Randy Koch.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1643 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21015.
