Linda was married to Calvin John Kreunen for 54 years and was blessed with two children, the late Adam Christian (Chris) Kreunen and Kimberly Faith Evans. Linda also referred to Dan and Rachel Nash as her children-in-love, and received great joy from being called Mama Kreunen by Hannah, James, Caleb, Esther, Abby, Naomi, Becky and Hope. She was also known as Aunt Dada, or Aunt Linda by many nieces and nephews.
Linda was a member of Bridge Church in Annapolis for many years and recently attended Sovereign Grace Church. She had a positive impact in so many places including Harvest Church of God in Edgewater, Cornerstone Church in Bowie and New Life Assembly in Odenton.
The joy of her life was being with and caring for those she loved, especially her family. She often said that seeing her grandchildren was life giving. Her life was spent looking for ways to reach out and care for others, and share the love of Jesus with them. Linda was genuinely interested in getting to know and bless everyone she met. She became a mom to many. Linda spent many years visiting and ministering to those in prison and in the hospital, and studied to become a licensed minister. She also invited others to join her at home for Bible study and prayer. In her earlier years she worked as a teacher and teachers’ aide in private and public schools. She received her Bachelors degree from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. A treasured memory is that she graduated from college the same year as her mother.
Linda loved to garden, read a good book, go out with friends or relax and enjoy sitting on the back porch. She was truly an inspiration and blessing to many and the impact she had on those around her will carry on in our hearts.
The family will celebrate her life on Monday July 27, 2020. There will be a video available, the details will be shared closer to the day of the celebration.
