Linda Marie Dewey

October 13, 1945 — October 7, 2024

Jarrettsville

Linda Marie Dewey, age 78, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, at Madonna Heritage in Jarrettsville. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the cherished daughter of the late Eugene "Bud" Spamer and Nora (Funk) Spamer, and the devoted wife of Joseph Dewey.

A woman of deep faith, Linda was a dedicated member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for over 25 years, where her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment to service touched the lives of many. She poured her heart into helping others, both in her community and among her family. Her volunteer work spanned decades, from helping at Jarrettsville Elementary while her children were students, to offering her time at Fallston Hospital, supporting recovery programs, and working closely with the Adam Ministry at her church.

Linda was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in crafting, wedding planning, and her role at Preston's Stationary, where she connected with others through her kind and gentle nature. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family. Linda cherished every moment when they were all together under one roof, and her love for them knew no bounds.

Those who knew Linda will remember her for her selflessness, her kind heart, and her constant willingness to give of herself to others. Whether it was a warm smile, a helping hand, or a kind word, Linda made those around her feel loved and supported.

Her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her son, Steven Michael Dewey; daughter, Kristina Noell Moran, and her spouse William; brother, Robert Eugene Spamer, and his spouse Viginia; sister, Cheryl Spamer Yox; grandson, Marcus Moran. Linda will also be remembered by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center to help go towards breast cancer research: https://secure.ummsfoundation.org/
