Linda Carol Brewster, age 72, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on February 12, 2022 at her home. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Margaret (Barton) Adkins and the late Robert T. Adkins. She was and always will be the beloved wife of James P. Brewster, Jr.
Linda and James were together for 59 years and would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on February 16, 2022. While being a full-time wife and mother, she obtained her bachelor and master degrees from Towson State University in Towson, MD. She retired in 2015 as principal of Maree G. Faring Elementary/Middle School after 26 years of service with Baltimore City Public Schools. She was also a teacher at various schools in Baltimore City as well as the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Linda loved to read and was an avid collector of books from all genres. She also loved traveling with her husband to the Caribbean Islands and spending quality time with her family.
In addition to her husband and mother, Linda is survived by; two daughters, Kathy (Mike) Jenkens and Robin (Salvatore) Lenzo; a son, James R. Brewster and Deanna Dunivant; grandchildren, Kelsey (Mark) Grunberg, Jack (fiancé - Paige Naumann) Jenkens, Nick Jenkens, Ally, James, and Aidan Brewster, Salvatore and Leo Lenzo; and her sister, Margie Pilachowski.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert T. Adkins and her granddaughter, Tori Brewster.
