Lillian Marie Hanson, aged 97, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at home. She was born in Berlin, Maryland, to the late William and Beatrice (Davis) Williams. Marie was the beloved wife of the late Calvin Earl Hanson and a cherished member of the Trinity Lutheran Church community, giving generously of her time throughout the years.
Throughout her life, Marie found joy in the simple pleasures, with a passion for gardening and a competitive spirit in duckpin bowling, which she and her husband pursued avidly in their younger years. Her roots in Berlin, MD, and fondness for Ocean City remained strong throughout her life, providing cherished memories and moments of tranquility.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Catherine (George) Raney, Cynthia Gonzales, and Joyce (Mike) Matthews; sons, Robert Hanson and Thomas Hanson; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Hanson, and by two brothers and one sister.
