Lida Lucinda Parks

June 28, 1929 — October 23, 2022

Lida Lucinda Parks, of Churchville, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2022. She was 93. Mrs. Parks was born in Marion, Virginia, to Lester Nathan Hash and Dina Bailey Hash. She was the devoted wife of the late Hugh Parks, loving mother of Danny Parks of Conowingo, MD, Billy Parks of Darlington, MD, and Deborah Donovan and her husband Jim of Clinton Township, Michigan. Mrs. Parks was the loving grandmother to David Parks, Jennifer Ziegler, and her husband Dan. She was the devoted great grandmother to her great grandchildren Ethan and Elise Ziegler. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jamie Parks and daughter-in-law Patricia Parks.


Mrs. Parks was one of fourteen Hash siblings of Marion, Virginia. She was the sister of Joann Parks of Atkins, VA, Brenda King of Tennessee, and preceded in death by Leonard Hash, Letcher “John” Hash, Max Hash, Bill Hash, Dale Hash, Viola Hall, Betty Daniels, Okie Fritz, Ada Coomes, Mary King, and Rick Hash. She was very close to her sisters-in-law Janice Hash, of Orlando, FL and Opal Hash of Holdrege, Nebraska. She is survived by many nieces and nephews which includes Sandy Coomes, Cindy Coomes, and Gary Coomes.


Mrs. Parks retired as the bakery manager at Michael’s Grocery store in Churchville, MD. She loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends. Mrs. Parks was a senior member at Carsin’s Run Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved reading her bible daily and preparing for her Sunday school classes which she taught for several years. She enjoyed listening to Sunday church services on the television. She was an avid baker and chef and enjoyed entertaining. She also enjoyed doing yard work and tending to her flowers.
