LESSIE L. MICHAEL MULLINS, age 80, of Street, MD, formerly of Bel Air, died on December 2, 2006 at home. Born in Purlear, NC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph McKenley and Estella Leola Watson Michael and wife of the late Ernest Edmond Mullins. She loved everyone and loved to take care of people. Her Southern hospitality meant if you visited, you ate. She loved to be a servant, and collected various things for missions. She collected clothes for the needy and was always ready and willing to be a listening ear, then go to God in prayer. It has been said “she must have a direct line”. She loved gardening, her flowers, and feeding and watching her wild birds. She enjoyed sewing and seemed to be able to fix anything. She loved Southern gospel music and spent most days listening and singing along. She also enjoyed writing short stories and poems, some of which were published in a book of poetry. It seemed a day wouldn’t go by without her saying “you should write a story about that”. She was an active member in and held office at Stepney Faith Center and Calvary Full Gospel Church. In recent years, she attended New Covenant Church of God.
