Les Coulson

Leslie Keith Coulson, age 54, son of Marjorie Coulson Pope and the late B. Reid Coulson, died at the family home in Edgewood on February 21, 2013. Les graduated from Edgewood High School in 1977. He is a descendant of the Coulson's who settled in Carroll County Virginia area in the early 1780's and is listed as being in the 14th generation of William and Margery Coulson of Derbyshire, England. In his younger years he was a member of the Abingdon Fire Company for over 8 years as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. While working for Utiliquest, he volunteered to go to Louisiana to help locate underground utility cables right after hurricane Katrina did much damage in the Gulf area.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Coulson Pope of Edgewood, a brother, Richard Mark Coulson and wife Dena, of Deland, FL, a sister, Lisa Russell of Dundalk and a niece, Ashley Russell of Edgewood whom he raised as his own daughter.
