Leona Nonie Schmidt

LEONA (NONIE) SCHMIDT, (nee DORNER), age 97, of Joppa, died in Quail Run Assisted Living in Bel Air on May 30, 2003. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Barbara Dorner Sauerwein and the wife of the late Howard L. Schmidt. Previously a resident of Woodlawn in Baltimore County, she had lived at Quail Run Assisted Living for 2 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and homemaker.

Mrs. Schmidt is survived by one daughter, Allyne S. Kramer and her husband, William Kramer of Joppa; four grandchildren, Thomas J. Flanders of Virginia Beach, Virginia; David A. Flanders of Bel Air; Kathleen S. Alexander of Aberdeen; William E. Kramer of Whitehall; seven great-grandchildren; Ryan M. Flanders; Lauren E. Flanders, both of Bel Air; Stephen H. Alexander; Leah N. Alexander; Jessica M. Alexander, all of Aberdeen; Adam E. Kramer; Alexis N. Kramer, both of White Hall; and one great-great-granddaughter, Natalia S. Burall of Aberdeen. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one granddaughter, Karin Lee Flanders.
