Leon Robert Krementz, Sr

Leon Robert Krementz, Sr. died peacefully Sunday January 14th, 2024, at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD at the age of 90.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Pauline (Battista) Krementz; his daughter Pauline Wheeler (William Wheeler), daughter-law Lorrie Krementz, Granddaughter Jessica Hicks (Andrew Hicks) and Great Grandson Connor Andrew Hicks.
Born in Vineland New Jersey, the son of Nicholas and Alice Krementz he was one of five sons and one daughter. 
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and accomplished sailor, pilot, and dancer.  
His time in the Navy during the Korean war ignited his love for the ocean. He spent many hours sailing the waters from Massachusetts to Bermuda. 
He worked for Pan American Airlines for thirty-four years until he retired  affording, he and his family the opportunity to travel the world.
Upon his retirement he and his wife Pauline relocated to Havre de Grace MD to be closer to the love of his life his granddaughter Jessica. 
Never one to sit still, he continued to sail the Chesapeake Bay and kept busy during the winter taking dance lessons.  Those dance lessons turned into amazing friendships, countless cruises and a few medals for his dance performances. 
He had sparkling blue eyes that drew people to him and he kept family and friends entertained with wonderful stories of a life well lived.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son Leon Robert Krementz Jr.
