Leola V. Hamm

Leola V. Hamm, age 95, of Beaver, WV, formerly of Joppa, MD passed away on April 11, 2012 at her home. Born in Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Buckles and Sarah Anne Witt Lawson and wife of the late Walter "Holy" Whitt and Earl J. Hamm. She retired after 20 years from Bata Shoe Company where she worked on the assembly line.

Mrs. Hamm is survived by her son, R. Roger Whitt and wife, Dee, of Abingdon, MD; daughter, Lois J. Sturgill and husband, Ronald C. "Hoppy", of Beaver, WV; son-in-law, Dale Shively of Spring Grove, PA; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her sons, Bob and Jack Whitt and daughter, Nancy Shively.
