Leoda E. Hinckle, age 92, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on August 24, 2012 at her home. Born in Hancock, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Grant and Estella Rosetta Hiles Norris and wife, for 50 years, of the late Herman A. Hinckle. A resident of Harford County for 69 years, she was a 50 year member of Stepney Faith Center and loved to do quilting.
Mrs. Hinckle is survived by her son, David T. Hinckle and wife, Shirley, of Bel Air, MD; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Hinckle of NJ; sisters, Betty Myers of Hagerstown, MD and Lillian Weller of Hancock, MD; grandchildren, Terry Sexton, Dorey Newcomb, Brenda Lucky, Karen Golumbeck, Carolyn Combs, Patrick Hinckle and Allen Taylor; 14 great-grandchildren which includes Latisha Smith who took care of her grandmother; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Donald L. Hinckle; daughter, Frances L. Taylor; brothers, Edgar, Walter and John Norris; and sisters, Mary Weller and Dorothy Shaw.
