Lenora D. Wilson

Lenora D. Wilson, age 94, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away on December 22, 2013 at her home. Born in Smyth County, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Garland and Sophia Hackler Cannoy, and wife of the late Willard A. Wilson Sr. A member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Port Deposit, she had worked briefly at both Bata Shoe Company and the Bridge Diner in Havre de Grace. She loved gardening, birds, reading poems, her flowers and singing at church.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son, Willard A. Wilson Jr. and wife, Joanne, of Port Deposit; daughters, Ann Coleman of NJ, Ruth M. Kitts of Aberdeen; Katherine R. Cantrell and husband, Donald, of VA; brother, Charles Cannoy; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Robert M. Wilson and Gerald D. Wilson and her daughter, Virginia M. Yates.
