Lena Blevins

LENA BLEVINS, 86, of Joppa, died at Harford Memorial Hospital on April 2, 2003. Born in Hillsville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Rachel L. Beasley Flanagan and the wife of the late John Louis Blevins. A resident of Harford County for 60 years, she was a member of Trappe Missionary Baptist Church. She loved sewing and raising flowers.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by three sons, Cecil Flanagan of Abingdon, Jimmie Blevins of White Hall and Isaac Blevins of Bel Air; three daughters, Patricia Stone of Aberdeen, Gayle Patrick of Joppa and Imogene Blevins of Havre de Grace; four sisters, Virtie Stamper of Bel Air, Ethel Parnell of Bassett, Virginia, Cassie Cregger of Austinville, Virginia and Ruby Shupe of Austinville, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
