Lawrence "Larry" Humphrey Wilson

Lawrence "Larry" Humphrey Wilson, age 81, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away on October 29, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Larry was born May 10, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of R. Kent and Louise (Mahan) Wilson and was a lifelong resident of Forest Hill, MD. He graduated from Bel Air High School and went on to attend Charlotte Hall Military Academy before earning his bachelor’s degree at West Virginia Tech.  

Larry forged a 30-year career in finance, sales and administration before starting L.H. Wilson, Inc., a family manufacturing business, in 1995, which is based in his hometown of Forest Hill. 

He was an active member of St. Ignatius Church in Hickory, MD, and a man with a love and passion for family, friends and the game of golf. He enjoyed many years with his wife and friends in the Heritage Palms community of Fort Myers, FL.  

Larry is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn Wilson, and his children and families, son Martin Kent Wilson, daughter-in-law Kristen Wilson and their two children, Ella Wilson and Drew Wilson; daughter Kelly Wilson Rote, son-in-law Stash Rote and their two children Michael Rote and Tyler Rote. 

At the request of Larry, a private memorial Mass for the immediate family will be held at St. Ignatius Church in Hickory, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in the name of Lawrence H. Wilson can be made to a charity of choice.
