Lawrence Lambert King Jr.

Lawrence Lambert King, Jr., age 88, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away on November 9, 2024, at Sterling Care Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lawrence Lambert King Sr. and Sofia (Miller) Schuell.

Lawrence proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after a distinguished career that included service during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. Known for his strong sense of duty and dedication, he continued to share his camaraderie and stories with friends as a bartender at the Dew Drop Inn on weekends.

He was an active member of the American Legion Post 17 and VFW Post 6506, where he enjoyed connecting with fellow veterans and sharing in the community spirit.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna King; and his son, Joe (Gladys) Braunschweiger. Joe and Gladys have been married for 20 years now and reside in Arizona.
