Lawrence Henson Jr.

Lawrence Henson Jr., age 68, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 2, 2017. Born in Clay County, Kentucky, he was the son of Lawrence and Mary Bell Henson. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country in the Army for over 20 years and after his first retirement was Director of Program Management for the Department of Homeland Security. He was a member at Bel Air Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years, where he was a mentor, and a man of integrity who loved God. He loved working with children at church and in the community

Mr. Henson is survived by his wife, Brenda I. Henson; daughters, Mona H. Sprowl (Thomas), Kazimiera I.H. Fraley (Michael), Charlamaine M. Parkinson (Christopher) and Katrina L. Ruby (Gregory); brothers, Cecil Henson and Ernie Henson, Sr.; sisters, Hazel Waddell and Mildred Grim-Baker; and grandchildren, Sean, Amanda, Joshua, Cidra, Stella, Madison, Alexis, Jayden, Noella and Jaxon. He was predeceased by his siblings, Herman, Earl, Erman and Jessie James Henson and Jewell Anders.
