Lawrence Edward Anderson, age 82, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on February 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Bel Air, MD he was the son of the late Deedie D. Anderson and the late Carrie Spencer Anderson.
Lawrence was a dairy farmer his entire life and became a Harford County School Bus Contractor in 1980. He also worked at the Churchville Livestock Auction. He served his country in the U.S. Army after graduating high school.
He was well loved by his family and friends, known for his jokester personality who always kept a smile on his face. Throughout his challenges of the Parkinson Disease, he never complained and still had the ability to share his stories and his unique sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, N. Marie Steelman Anderson, his two sons Gary (and his wife Sandra) and Kevin (and his wife Emily). Lawrence was a devoted grandfather to his seven grandchildren, Kasey, Rachel, Kaleb (and his wife Kristen), Nathan, Andrea, Leah, and Kelly. He is also survived by one sister, Helen Day.
In addition, he was predeceased by three sisters – Juanita Rigney, Ruby Spearman, June Hagert, and two brothers – Lester and James. Granddaughter, Erin Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Kasey, Kaleb, and Nathan Anderson, William Steelman, Ronnie Thomas, and Robert Worthington.
