Laura Lee Cliffe, age 90, of Edgewood, MD, died on June 9, 2011 at Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Carvel and Margaret Ola Lichliter Struck and wife of the late Captain Harry Lewis Cliffe Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Cliffe owned an antique business in Delta from 1965 to 1970. She had a great love of antiques. She was also Ladies' Auxiliary President for the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company and was very active raising money for the fire company. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and bowling enthusiast. In her later years, she became very active with fundraising for a Catholic Church in Edgewood for many years, to be called Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She loved her family and was very interested in researching family genealogy.
Mrs. Cliffe is survived by her sons, Harry Lewis Cliffe III and Michael Joseph Cliffe, both of Edgewood, MD; daughters, Kathleen Helen Chlan of Nottingham, MD, Sharon Ann Miller of Joppa, MD, Laura Lee Bullock of Edgewood, MD, and Stephanie Paula Moore of Whiteford, MD; brother, John Short of Cecil County, MD; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Franklin and Jerome Struck and three grandchildren.
