Larry Lee Whipple, 79, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on June 20, 2015 at his home. Born in Belden, NE, he was the son of the late Theodore and Dorothy Hanson Whipple. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was retired from the Social Security Administration where he was a claims adjuster, and had worked for 22 years for ARC of Harford County where he drove the bus until 2008. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a deacon and sang in the choir, and was a member of the Edgewood VFW.
Mr. Whipple is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary Ellen (Young) Whipple; daughters, Kim Schmidt of Fallston and Cheryl Kornblum of Hanover, PA; brothers, Ronald Whipple of Belden, NE and Donald Whipple of Stanton, NE; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Hyman Burns of Baltimore, Harold Burns of Bel Air, Virgil Burns of San Antonio, TX and Karen Burns of Aberdeen; and step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Janet A. Whipple; son, Randy Whipple, and sister, Carole Poches.
