Larry Godfrey Stancill

Larry Godfrey Stancill, age 76, of Joppa, MD, died on June 5, 2011 at his home. A lifetime resident of Harford County, MD, he was the son of the late Godfrey Lama and Hazel Edwards Stancill. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served our country during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Harford Industrial Minerals for most of his life. He was a charter member of the Harford County Republican Club and also served on the Republican Central Committee of Harford County. A member of the NRA, he graduated from the Citizen's Police Academy, was a voracious reader, loved his family, his lady, Dixieland Jazz and his home in Joppa.

Mr. Stancill is survived by his daughter Stacey Stancill of Loveland CO; sons, David Stancill of Bel Air, MD, Dobson Stancill of Morrison, CO, Kelly Stancill of Abingdon, MD; stepchildren, Joseph Zuramski of Bel Air, MD and Janet Zuramski Leeper of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Jerry Stancill of Parkville, MD, Tim Stancill of Fallston, MD, and Terry Stancill of Forest Hill, MD; sister, Merrie Standish of Fallston, MD; seven grandchildren; and longtime companion, "his lady" Annetta Schott.
