LAMONT “SKIP” BIEHLER, age 62, of Whiteford, died in Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center on March 7, 2005. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Lawrence, Jr. and Rose Morlock Biehler. A Harford County resident for nearly 40 years, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and also served for one year in Korea. He spent time at Aberdeen Proving Ground as an auto mechanic. After returning, he owned and operated the Performance Specialties which later became the House of Speed in Aberdeen. He specialized in building specialty cars. He taught at Cecil County Public Schools at the Cecil School of Technology in Bay View, Maryland from 1977 until his retirement last year. He loved cars and boats and enjoyed fixing all of his neighbors’ cars. He lived by what was written on his bumper “If you can read this, thank a teacher, if it is written in English, thank a soldier”.
Mr. Biehler is survived by one daughter, Riele Biehler of Baltimore; and one brother, Shawn Biehler of Riverside, California. In addition to he parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Lawrence Biehler, III.
