Lillian Mae Dufour Noye, of Jarrettsville, MD, peacefully passed on at age 91, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 27, 2014. Mae, as she was fondly known to family and friends, was born in Gambrills, MD to the late Philip Walton Dufour and the late Lillian Christina Ophelia Bearch Dufour. Her family moved to Magnolia, MD when she was a young child. Mae remained in Magnolia to help her family until her early 20's.
Mrs. Noye graduated from Old Post Road High School in 1940. She worked for Edgewood Arsenal from 1940 till 1942. Mae worked for the Glenn L. Martin Company during World War II, where she met and later married, Floyd William Noye after he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army at the end of the war in 1945. In 1946, they moved to Annville, PA where Mae was a housewife and a mother. Mae wrote Community News articles for the Lebanon Daily News. In 1960, The Noye family moved to Joppa, MD and has remained in Harford County.
Mae enjoyed nature and was an avid bird and squirrel watcher, studied the Bible and praised her Lord and Savior. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends and they all loved her as well. She was a long-time member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church until she was unable to attend any longer.
Mrs. Noye is survived by her brothers, Donald F. Dufour and wife Peggy Anne, Edgewood, MD and George P. Bearch and wife Barbara, Joppa, MD; Sisters, Patricia A. Adkins, Abingdon, MD and Virginia G. DiMola and husband Michael, Glen Burnie, MD; Her daughter, Kathy Noye Morris and her husband Robert Dale Kipp, Jarrettsville, MD and her son, Terry A. Noye and wife, Stephanie, Bel Air, MD; Grandchildren, David M. Noye, Gilbert, AZ, Susan Noye Story and husband John, Jackson, TN, Brandon Noye, Bel Air, MD and Jessica Dale Kipp Nearhood and husband Bryan, Aberdeen, MD. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, P. Renee Stewart, Jackson, TN, Amie N. Plumlee, Jackson, TN, Austin A. Floyd, Jackson, TN. Zachary Blackburn, Darlington, MD, Bailey W. Morris Hale, North East, MD, Hannah Mae Morris, Bel Air, MD, Zachary J. G. Bardroff, Bel Air, MD and Kyle A. Noye, Gilbert, AZ. Additionally, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mae was predeceased by her grandson Brian Steven Morris, as well as her sisters Vivian Dufour Beers and Peggy Dufour Kemmerzell.
