Kim Ryan

Kimberly "Kim" Ryan, age 45, of Darlington, Maryland, passed away on October 15, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Cox and Shirley (Olinger) Baity, stepfather Daniel Baity, and the devoted wife of 24 years to John R. Ryan.

Kim was a dedicated member of Sovereign Grace Church and had a passion for the outdoors, which she shared with her family. She cherished her time spent with her dogs, horses, and her “grand pups,” and her love for animals was as strong as her love for people. Known for her honesty, both in her words and expressions, she was admired for her candid nature and the joy she brought to those around her.

Kim was deeply involved in her community, spending many years as a lunch lady at North Harford and as a teaching assistant at Darlington Elementary and St. Stephens. She had a gift for working with children and found joy in coaching soccer, basketball, and football. Her love for adventure extended to riding horses, four-wheelers, and side-by-sides, as well as camping trips with her family on the Eastern Shore, in Wildwood, and in Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents and stepparents she is survived by her loving daughters, Regan Ryan, and Emma (Fiancé Brandon Greely) Ryan; her brother, Ryan Baity; sister, Rebekah Powell; sister-in-law, Susan Ryan Tobias; and brothers-in-law, Rob (Amy) Ryan and Bill (Stacey) Ryan.

Kim was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John Allan Tobias Jr.
