Kermit Olinger, age 89, of Darlington, Maryland passed away on August 8, 2021, at his home in Darlington, Maryland. Born in Olinger, Virginia, he was the son of the late Jake Olinger and Mattie (Wallen) Miller and husband of Eva L. Olinger. He was a member of Darlington Masonic Stephenson Lodge #135 A.F. & A.M. for 56 years. Kermit worked as a Painter at Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood Arsenal for 38 years retiring on June 2, 1990. He was a gentleman's farmer, enjoying cows and baling hay. He was a past member of Darlington Volunteer Fire Department. Kermit was a handyman and Mr. Fix It! Kermit loved his family.
Kermit is survived by his loving wife Eva L. Olinger; children, Kermit Glen Olinger and his wife Dianne, Stephen James Olinger, Shirley Baity and her husband Dan, Teresa Cross and her husband Dave; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Lee Olinger; his first wife of 62 years, Grace Marie Olinger, and 4 siblings.
