Kermit Alt

April 18, 1923 — October 4, 2012

Kermit Alt, age 89, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on October 4, 2012 at his home. Born in Pansy, WV, he was the son of the late Frank James and Stella Alt. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country in WWII as a medical technician in an evacuation hospital. He fought in Central Rhineland and was awarded the Bronze Star, European Theatre of Operations Medal with two battle stars, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, European Occupation Medal and a Citation of Merit. He worked for General Motors Broening Highway Plant for 32 years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his grandson.

Mr. Alt is survived by his wife of 61 years, Naomi Ruth Alt of Bel Air, MD; son, Jeffrey Kevin Alt and his wife, Renee of Bel Air, MD; brother, William S. Alt of Petersburg, WV; sisters, Audrey Blosser and Martha Evens of Richmond, VA; and grandson, Corey Kevin Alt of Bel Air, MD.
