Kent O'Donley, age 61, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on December 21, 2021 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Bakersfield, California, he was the son of George and Mildred (Blackmarr) O'Donley. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country in Afghanistan retiring in 1998 as a Sergeant. During his service he was awarded the following commendation medals, Army achievement medal, good conduct medal, Southwest Asia service medal, Expert Marksmanship Badge Rifle, Army service medal, driver & mechanic badge driver and NCO professional development ribbon. Kent was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed watching Vikings Football and fishing whenever he could. Kent was a member of the American Legion Bel Air.
Kent is survived by his wife whom he married in 1988, Emily O'Donley; sons, Kent Steven O'Donley, Jr. of York, PA and Daniel Dwayne O'Donley of OH; daughter, Betsy Marie O'Donley of OH; 2 grandchildren; and brother, Dana O'Donley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Clark and brothers, Robert O'Donley and Byron O’Donley.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
