Kennith Thomas Spurlin, 73, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on December 5, 2022. He was born on October 26, 1949 in Ennice, North Carolina and was the son of the late Elmer R. Spurlin and E. Nellie Spurlin (Dancy). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Edwards and brothers, Keith Spurlin and Dewey Spurlin.
Kennith is survived by his sisters, Annie Calvin, Vicky Bohus, Eva Harris and Judy Fisher; his loving daughter Trina Spurlin; granddaughters, Chevy Sigwart, Jeanette Sigwart and Stephanie Sigwart; great grandson Talin Bailey; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
He enjoyed many years of drag racing, building and racing a dragster called "Beaver Fever" with his partner Grady Barr. They also had a top alcohol funny car called “Penny Pincher”. Kenny continued racing top alcohol funny cars solo and was blessed to have the support of many sponsors. Kenny also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the red shed playing cards.
