Kennis Larue Cutlip, 93, of Hanover, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 9, 2015 at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover. Born in Renick, WV, he was the son of the late Michael Kyle Cutlip and Florence Elizabeth Kennison Cutlip. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during WWII. Formerly of Harford County, he had attended Baptist View Church since 1988. He retired after 25 years with IUOE Local 542 where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement he loved to spend time working in his yard and gardening. He was the loving husband of Theda Vileania Smoot Cutlip, his wife of 26 years with whom he currently resided at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cutlip is survived by his stepdaughter, one step grandson, two step great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Milburn, Russell, Arnold and Alfred Cutlip, Anna Nicholas and Irene Robbins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Burnell Zumbrum, Lee Cutlip, Wayne Zumbrum, Michael Cutlip and Pete Cutlip. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Jackson, Gary Cutlip and William Quesinberry.
