Kenneth Roland Hannahs, age 86, of Bel Air passed away at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland, on October 28, 2015. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John Henry and Catherine Cecelia Stewart Hannahs. He was a resident of Towson for 33 years, of Ocean Pines, Maryland for 8 years and of Bel Air for 16 years. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 30 years and was an auditor for the State of Maryland for 11 years. He was a fan of the Orioles, Ravens, and Baltimore Colts who enjoyed reading, politics, history, and spending time with his family most of all. He was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Johns Hopkins University. He served his country in the Army in Korea during the Korean War and received two bronze stars.
Mr. Hannahs is survived by two sons, Kenneth Roland Hannahs, Jr. (wife, Rebecca) of Liberty Lake, Washington; Robert John Hannahs of Cockeysville; two daughters, Ann Hannahs Martin (husband, Gerald) of York New Salem, Pennsylvania; Ellen Marie Hannahs of Forest Hill; two brothers (Donald Edgar Hannahs and Roland Stewart Hannahs; five grandchildren, Kenneth Roland Hannahs, III, of Spokane, Washington; Paul Michael Hannahs McCoy of Baltimore; Clark Peetz Hannahs of Duluth, Georgia; Grace Catherine Hannahs of Liberty Lake, Washington, and Daniel Kenneth Gomez, of Forest Hill. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Doris Ellen (nee Peetz) Hannahs; four brothers, John Clifton Hannahs, William Conrad Hannahs, George Melvin Hannahs, and Edwin Clarence Hannahs; and three sisters, Thelma Mary Hannahs, Katherine Mildred Hannahs, and Mary Leona Hannahs.
