Kenneth D. Kennedy, age 47, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on October 29, 2021 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Darrell Kennedy, companion, Peggy White, and the late Barbara (Fuller) Kennedy.
In addition to his father, Ken is survived by his wife Melissa (Xander) Kennedy; sons, Jaxon X. Kennedy and Wade T. Kennedy; father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Linda Xander; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Katy Hawkins; and niece and nephew, Olivia and Luke Hawkins and many cousins.
Ken graduated from Kenwood High School in 1993. After many years of working in the trucking industry, he continued his passion and was the owner/operator of a small auto transport company.
He was lovingly known as Coach Ken by his Emmorton Eagles baseball team. He loved seeing the growth and development of the boys over the years and was extremely proud of the team’s accomplishments.
Ken was the life of the party within his campground family. He loved his weekends spent joking with his friends, talking politics and enjoying a cigar around the campfire.
Ken was blessed with a group of friends, that weren’t just friends, but were family. The Merson family has provided years of love and support and always had a special place in his heart.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a GoFundMe account to support his sons in the coming years. The account can be accessed at https://gofund.me/684ba7b2
