Kenneth Ashton Johnson

Kenneth Ashton Johnson, age 71, of Edgewood, MD, died on October 23, 2009 at his home. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William Ralph and Julia Mueller Hedgman Johnson and husband, for 31 years, of the late Phyllis S. Belcher Johnson. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a carpet installer for Superior Carpet Shop in Washington, DC, from where he retired. A member of the Moose Lodge, he loved baseball, football, especially the Redskins, and collecting coins and hats.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughters, Georgia Verry of Abingdon, MD, Phyllis Louise Housley Alvarez of Edgewood, MD, Debra Falduti of Bowie, MD and Jeannette MacDonald of Florida; sister, Carolyn of MD; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Stewart Johnson.
