Ken J Heeter, age 80, of Bel Air, MD passed away on May 30, 2017 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Michigan City, IN on July 1, 1936, the middle son of DeLacy J and Anna (Yoder) Heeter. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, neighbor and coworker. A very compassionate person to others, he was known as the Dick Clark of Upper Chesapeake Hospital where he worked in Imaging Services for over 40 years. Earlier in his career, he also worked in imaging at St. Agnes and for the Health Department. He enjoyed genealogy and had traced his family back for ten generations. He was known as a great story teller and a talented artist, also known for his Christmas Cards which he would send out with his artwork.
Mr. Heeter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Agnes Anne Heeter; children, Anthony W. Heeter (Kathy), Loree A. Heeter-Piche (Robert) and Andrew S. Heeter (Melissa); grandchildren, Justin S. Piche (Brittny), Andrew D. Piche, Sean A. Heeter, Allison M. Heeter, Rachel N. Piche, Meghan E. Plack (Harry), Laken E. Heeter, Mallory C. Heeter and Ewan R. Heeter; and great-grandchildren, Remington A. Rager, Kealy H. Piche, Graham H. Piche and, Jayden Kabina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ned J Heeter and Terry J Heeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance Club, 109 S. Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014.
