Keith Dean Spurlin Sr.

Keith Dean Spurlin, Sr., age 69, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on March 16, 2019 at his home. Born in Ennice, NC, he was the son of Elmer Ray and Nellie (Dancy) Spurlin and husband of Betty Ann (Miller) Spurlin. He is a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He retired in 2011 after 38 years as a motor pool technician with the Army National Guard. He built a 1962 Chevy Bubbletop Bel Air and he enjoyed going to car shows where he won many trophies. He served as the family and friends mechanic and enjoyed spending time with them. Keith was very proud of each of his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Betty, of 50 years, Mr. Spurlin is survived by two daughters, Nina (Herb Vass) Spurlin of Colora and Jennifer (Robert) Miller of Bel Air; son, Keith (April) Spurlin, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; four grandsons, Zacheriah and Ezekiel Miller, Charlie and Clay Spurlin; two granddaughters, Mackenzie Vass and Olivia Spurlin; his buddy, Toby; four sisters, Annie Calvin, Eva Harris, Vicky Bohus, and Judy Fisher; two brothers, Dewey and Kenneth Spurlin; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Edwards.
