Kathryn Joann Jorgenson, aged 87, of Street, Maryland, passed away on December 25, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was born in Minnesota to the late Joseph and Edith (Murray) Boecker and was the beloved wife of the late Howard Frederick Jorgenson. Kathryn was a devoted member of Emory United Methodist Church and had a fulfilling career as a waitress at Wilhelm's Restaurant in Middle River for many years. After her waitress career was over, she spent the next several years as a foster parent helping many children in need. Her love for cooking and caring for others brought joy to those around her.
Kathryn is survived by her sons, Ernest Jorgenson, and William Jorgenson; daughters Rebecca Jorgenson, Jennifer Sowinski and Carol Engel; as well as 12 grandchildren. She is also remembered fondly by her siblings, Sylvia, Gloria, Mary, Ralph, Russell, and Roberta.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack, Joe, William, Theresa, and Jerry. Her legacy lives on through her family and the memories they shared.
