Kathryn J. Cavanaugh

KATHRYN J. CAVANAUGH, age 89, of Jarrettsville, died in Madonna Heritage on October 17, 2005. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia Kurrle Balles, and the wife of the late Melvin J. Cavanaugh. She had worked for a number of years at the telephone company in Fullerton and was the chief operator. She retired from work to take care of her family and the children of friends. She loved children. She was an avid gardener and loved to work crossword puzzles and read. She was a lifelong member of the Welcome Class of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Baltimore.

Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by one son, John E. Cavanaugh of Street; two daughters, Janice D’Agostino Cavanaugh of Jarrettsville and Julia F. Cavanaugh of Whiteford; one brother, Edward Balles of Baltimore; four grandchildren, James P. Cavanaugh of Street, Emily R. Cavanaugh of Street, John A. D’Agostino of Jarrettsville, and Alexander J. D’Agostino of Jarrettsville. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, George Balles.
