Kathleen M. Burke Howard

KATHLEEN M. BURKE HOWARD, age 85, of Edgewood, died at her home on April 7, 2004. Born in Milford, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Ernest Beckwith and Grace Gertrude Matthews Thompson, and the wife of the late Bartley E. Burke, Sr. and the late Foster S. Howard. She had worked for 20 years with C&P Telephone as an operator and had retired after 12 years at Bethlehem Steel where she was the chief telephone operator. She enjoyed boating and the Orioles.

Mrs. Howard is survived by one son, Bartley E. Burke, Jr. of Annapolis; two daughters, Nancy J. Henderson of Dundalk; Kathleen M. Little of Belcamp; 12 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her two husbands, she was predeceased by two brothers, Francis Beckwith; Paul Beckwith; two sisters, Sister Alberta Beckwith, who was the former administrator of St. Agnes Hospital; and Margaret Riesett.

Pallbearers were: Mark Henderson, Ray Haynes, Eric Little, Owen Henderson, Michael Little, and Christopher Wong.
