Kathleen "Kay" Mahler Galambos passed away on February 21, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland, at the age of 98.
Born in 1927 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Kay grew up in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School in 1944. Over the years, she built a diverse career, working at an international investment firm in Boston, a medical laboratory in Towson, and later with the State of Maryland Division of Savings and Loan. Kay was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 59 years and cherished the friendships she made at Trinity, in Joppatowne, and at Oak Crest Senior Living Community. She had a passion for quilting, sewing, basketmaking, and even Lego building. At Oak Crest she was known as "The Lego Lady". Her kindness and generosity touched many lives. She was predeceased by her husband, Les Galambos. She is survived by her three daughters: Sandra Galambos MacFarlan (Maitland), Joanne Galambos DiCrispino (Paul Sr.), and Jeannette Galambos Bryan (Bruce); as well as eight grandchildren: Paul DiCrispino Jr., Daniel DiCrispino, Beth MacFarlan, Katie MacFarlan, Whitney Pence, Logan Bryan, Miriam MacFarlan, and Moses MacFarlan. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren. Kay’s warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
