Kathleen A. Silling

Kathleen A. Silling, age 62, of Joppa, MD, passed away on December 5, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Grayson O. and Carolyn M. (nee Duncan) Silling and also preceded in death by a brother, David M. Silling, all from Joppa, MD. She is survived by a step-son, John F. Servi and his wife, Jennifer, and their daughters, Hailey and Sadie, Joppa, MD; an aunt, Joan Miller, Baltimore, MD; and many cousins.

Ms. Silling graduated from Edgewood High School in June 1973. She medically retired from the Civil Service after being employed 28 years beginning as a clerk-typist at SSA in Woodlawn, MD, and then at various positions at APG (both Edgewood and Aberdeen Areas), MD, and ending with 5 years as an EEO Specialist at Fort Gordon, GA. Her organization affiliations included Upper Falls Rebekah Lodge #78, Bradshaw, MD; Job’s Daughters Bethel #35, Bel Air, MD; Boy Scout Troops in Harford County, MD and in Augusta, GA; and former 4-H member of South Harford 4-H Club, Joppa, MD. She enjoyed her granddaughters, dogs, teddy bears, collecting magnets, reading, cross stitching, crocheting and playing cards.
