Joppa

Kateri "Keri" Jameson, age 41, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on May 23, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and music. Born in York, Pennsylvania, Keri was the beloved daughter of Leonard Jameson and Karen (Malik) Taylor.

Keri's life was deeply intertwined with music. A professional singer, she poured her heart and soul into her craft, captivating audiences with her talent. She was not only a vocalist but also a skilled percussionist, playing the Cajon, and dabbling in guitar and keyboard. Her passion for music led her to perform with several bands, including Crossroads, End of Days, Refuge, and Another Day, leaving a lasting impression on all who heard her play.

Beyond her musical pursuits, Keri was known for her kindness. She expressed her warmth and compassion to everyone she encountered. Keri had a remarkable gift for making connections and never hesitated to extend a friendly hand to strangers, seeing them as friends she simply hadn't met yet.  Keri was an athlete.  She played softball and her love of the sport kept her busy for most of her youth.

Her greatest source of pride and love was her son, Kail Olvera. Keri cherished their time together, whether it was exploring parks, embarking on adventures, or simply enjoying each other's company. She was a devoted mother, and her bond with Kail was unbreakable.

Keri is survived by her parents, Karen and Randy Taylor, Lenny and Michelle Jameson; her beloved son, Kail Olvera; her dear friend, Carlos Olvera; her grandmothers, Joanne Wilson and Nancy Jameson; her brothers, Coltan Taylor and Tyler Jameson; Dawn and Kelly Ireton, Darlene and Rob Gaval; and her cousins, PJ and Ashley Ireton and Kaylee and Dave Kidder.
