Karl Kenneth Keithley Jr.

Karl Kenneth Keithley Jr., age 89, of Bel Air, MD passed away on May 21, 2017 at York Hospital in York, PA. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Karl Kenneth and Margaret Irene (Hoover) Keithley. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he attended Old Post Road High School. He dedicated his whole life to his family and serving the public through his family business, Keithley Brothers Incorporated. The family business was started in 1927 on Philadelphia Road as a Studebaker dealership, with his father and his uncle. Then in 1936 after the completion of Route 40, the business was moved to that location serving as an automotive repair shop and towing service. It was later taken over by him and his brother, Donald.

Mr. Keithley is survived by his wife with whom he would have celebrated his 59th anniversary on June 14th, Peggy Ann Keithley; daughter, Karen A. Wall of Bel Air; granddaughter, Brianna N. Wall of Bel Air; brother, Roland W. Keithley of Churchville; and sister, Mary Lou Keithley of Joppa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald R. Keithley.
